I have been running a lot this month and did my first half marathon 2 weeks ago.. not bad for a beginner. The bug is catching as increasing numbers of the Learning Innovation team have been running and we even did a highropes course for our away day…

Spring is here and the next book is on the way. It is a Qualitative Research methods textbook, written with Claire Major published with Routledge. However, despite the books, bids, research and papers I did get out climbing here at Stanage edge last week….
February 2011 This month I am off to meet with colleagues in Cape Town and take some writing time to work on my next book with Clare Major it is called A Practical Introduction to Qualitative Research: Methodology Matters… with Routledge and should be out some time next year.
In November I am speaking at this 3rd International Research Symposium on Problem-Based Learning 2011
Later in November I am running the Innovative Research in Virtual Wolrds Conference - with lots of team help of course

9th June Today am presenting a keynote speech entitled Students’ experiences of learning in immersive spaces at the METI conference in Huddersfield. The paper can be found here

25th May I have just returned for the Ukraine to liaise with partners about future FP7 funding in the area of Problem-based learning and 3D virtual worlds.
We also visited the Kharkov Aerospace University and saw one of the first MiG-29’s ever made
12th May I have just created a related blog about Spatial Practice in Second Life but this is still under development
6th May Just back from an excellent AERA conference in Denver and the section on Qualitative Research was full of interesting papers. The stuff on duo-ethnography was rather odd, but other papers great.
