ITS provide a way to access the files stored on their network via https://myfiles.coventry.ac.uk/ you will need to enter your username in the format username@coventry.ac.uk.

Changing your password
Your password is set to expire after a fixed length of time as a security measure by ITS. You will be warned if that your password will expire soon when you log into the remote desktop or webmail. To reset your password either log into the remote desktop or you can do it at https://webmail.coventry.ac.uk/ChangePasswords/Webform1.aspx

How to log into CUOnline
CUOnline can be accessed directly externally at http://vle.coventry.ac.uk however the preferred route is via the University’s portal https://cuportal.coventry.ac.uk. This is because the portal is the main place for announcements that may affect your access to various systems while working away from the University; the portal also offers Single Sign On (SSO) for the other e-Learning software such as pebblePAD.

Remote Desktop
You can access several applications from the Remote Desktop.
To set up the remote desktop on your machine go to Start, Programs, Accessories, Remote Desktop Connection. On some computers the Remote Desktop Connection may be under Accessories/Communication. When asked for the Computer enter itsts.coventry.ac.uk, your username will be your University one e.g. bsx999 or aa9999, on some versions of Windows you may also need enter a domain which will be coventry.
There are several options that can be set when setting up the remote desktop, including sharing you local disk drives. This will allow you to drag and drop from your local machine over to your area on the ITS network.
Below is a link to a movie produced by CUE for their LIW users, please note that the following settings (and not the ones in the video) are corrrect for you.
- Server is itsts.coventry.ac.uk
- Username is just your username in the format ccx999 or aa1234
- Domain is coventry
