Matt Mawer is focusing on this theme for his PhD study, under the supervision of Professor David Morris and Dr Katherine Wimpenny. 

This theme will cover the following sub-themes:

• Experience - what are their experiences of learning in these worlds and what would they change to improve their learning experiences?
• Attitudes - what are their views about the virtual environment?
• Support - does the immersive world support their learning or is it a barrier?
• Collaboration and peer interaction - how effective do they perceive this to be compared with other forms of learning?
• Understanding - what is their understanding of collaboration in these environments
