About this site

Resources are still being developed for this site - if you see an item listed with no link, then it is forthcoming. If you are particularly interested in an unfinished item, please let us know and we can prioritize it. We also welcome suggestions for possible content. This site has developed as a result of both research and practical experience. It features resources we have created but also includes inputs from others using lecture capture in their institutions.  We hope you will find it of use; we ask only that you credit the authors and originators of material.  We also invite you to submit your own resources – you may use the ELTAC templates for this.  They have placeholders for your own institution logo as well as author details and search terms. The resources on this site are also part of an Open Education Resource (OER) collection in the Coventry University open repository.

Our usage of the term lecture capture includes not only automated systems such as Echo360, but also other technologies like web lecture tools and podcasting. The resources will be of use to staff developers, lecturers, managers and e-learning support staff.  They span a range of topics: pragmatic advice, community experiences, guidance on learning design and pedagogy, and links to research and other sites. Most prominently we have developed a number of exemplars of creative and effective practice with lecture capture across a variety of disciplines and institutions.

Please use the menus and search field on the right to navigate through the pages.
